Must be currently SC security cleared.
The Project Assurance Manager (PAM) reports to the MMIT Project Manager. The postholder is responsible for the day-to-day management of the MMIT project on behalf of the MMIT PM.
The function of the PAM is to ensure that the plan is being delivered in a coherent manner and that the implications of any deviations are identified. The role is focussed on the short term, week-to-week operation of the project, thereby enabling the PM to engage more effectively with external and long-term issues.
A periodic report detailing:
a) Cross-functional issues affecting the plan and possible planning solutions to these issues, to include progress on issue.
b) How Risks and Assumptions have been managed, and what mitigating action has been taken, or recommended. To include the progress on the rectifying of risks and assumptions.
c) Records of decisions made at the Project Management Team (PMT) meetings, to include progress on actions taken and agreed upon.
SKills*Experience:
A good working knowledge of Prince2 methodology. Practical experience of implementing projects run under AMS. Agood understanding of the Defence Procurement process. Experienced Project or Programme Management, preferable within a major Defence Logistics IS developement project or programme. A good understanding of the defence supply chain Experience of business developement A thorough working knowledge of MS Project 2000MSB Technology (a division of MSB International PLC) is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
