Develop and support of energy trading systems.Take responsibility for coding specific deliverables that meet requirements and conform to technical design*coding standards within agreed timescales.
The design, development, review and unit testing of code for the company’s in-house built energy trading system and other systems as appropriate. Ability to diagnose and resolve day-to-day live system issues and to implement strategic tactical projects.Provide out of hours support using secured remote-dial in access.The support and maintenance of the trading system as necessary.
Minimum three years experience in commodity trading*investment banking. Desired experience is from an energy trader, energy company or trading company (in order of preference).
Required skills are a knowledge of Object Oriented design, PowerBuilder (3 years), PFC and Oracle.VB.Net (2 years) including Winforms, Remoting and*or Web Services and Enterprise servicesDesired Skills include SQL Navigator and Java.
