Visual Basic .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server design and maintenance are the key skills. If you have any XML, XML schemas, HTML, Windows Server 2000*2003 maintenance then this would be a huge advantage. My client is looking for a support programmer to join an expanding software development department. The role will be to act as the core of a new software maintenance team. Responsibilities will include maintenance programming, software problem location and resolution, combined with development of new stand-alone small-scale software projects. The role is also likely to involve a degree of customer liaison. Software development is based around Microsoft Visual Basic .NET technologies, and includes ASP.NET websites, windows forms applications, and .NET component software. Microsoft SQL Server is the main database engine used. The position offers the opportunity to progress to team-leadership of as the maintenance team grows, or to join the existing main software project or product development teams.
