Fantastic opp to further career.
Major British Company requires a very strong Manager with a proven ability to manage IT Software Engineers and provide direction for all IT concerns.
Reporting to the Head of IT and operating as part of the IT Management Team, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the entire business application portfolio (100+ apps) and managing a team of 15 personnel, operating as 3 teams inc programmers and PeopleSoft Enterprise 1 (PSE1 )application specialists.
Further requirement will be to manage application services provided by 3rd parties.
Candidates will have excellent understanding of structured software development and maintenance lifecycles and application architectures.
You must also have a breadth of commercial and business experience in order to manage the negotiation process with suppliers and to project manage large scale business projects.
Experience of:
- Project delivery with management involvement in at least 2 medium to large projects i.e. up to £1 million.
-Negotiating IT contracts.
-Managing 3rd party service delivery ie negotiation techniques, service level management, tracking contractual obligations and reviewing service procedures.
-Operating at Senior Management * Board level – managing all elements of an IT Function.
