Responsibilities:
Support and maintenance of development team and office Linux workstations and servers
Support, maintenance, and capacity planning of office network and systems
Assist in support, maintenance and capacity planning of production network and systems
Manage staff in charge of supporting office users.
Requirements/Experience:
3-5 years related experience (personal projects can count towards this; we like self-motivated people)
Enjoys learning new technologies and concepts quickly and thoroughly
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
Experience working with Linux systems (preferably Gentoo)
Experience with major network protocols including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP
Familiarity with web infrastructure (apache, tomcat, mysql)
Experience working with 3rd party vendors on hardware procurement and external network services like monitoring
Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate with tech and non-tech team members equally.
Other Preferred Skills (not required):
Perl/Python/Ruby coding
Experience being in and around datacenters, datacenter best practices
Good understanding of network and systems security
Technical documenting skills.
