We have a paid internship opportunity at a leading independent interactive design and marketing agency located in Manhattan. You’ll assist in front-end programming for ventures with some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including AT&T, HBO, and Discover.
First things first. You’ll have skills in web development. Just as important you’ll have a strong work ethic, are a problem-solving whiz, have notable organizational skills, and above all, are detail-oriented. If you can boldly check off those things, you’ve already piqued our interest. But just to make sure, keep reading.
Interactive skills are one thing, interaction is another—you should have strong interpersonal skills, working independently and as part of a team, on top of excellent written communication skills.
The ideal candidate will be a Junior or Senior in college/university and have skills and/or experience in the following:
-XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
-Adobe CS, as relates to front-end development
-Support A-grade browsers
-SEO coding practices
-PHP, MySQL, and ActionScript is a plus
You must be available to work on-site for 32 hours a week (during 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday) starting January 2009 for at least three months.
