Hudson Software, a premier technical support provider located in Elmsford, NY, (Westchester County) has several new openings for part-time agents for temporary work between beginning the second week of November and ending in mid-February. Our winter busy season is coming up, and we need some entry level people to handle some simple technical support inquiries. We will train you in the specifics, but you must be smart, understand computers well and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. You also must have great empathy skills, giving customers caring and helpful support.
At the present time, we need help on all shifts, with the greatest demand between noon and 9:00 p.m. You can work up to 40 hours per week, but part-time is fine. These positions are seasonal, but some part-time workers stay with us year round. Please note that these temp positions are entry level and not suited for applicants with high levels of technical skills and experience.
We are looking for computer enthusiasts and problem solvers, rather than recent graduates of technical certificate programs. Formal training is not necessary; we are eager to hire people who are self-taught. The successful candidate must be able to communicate fluently in spoken and written Standard English and be comfortable using and helping others use recent Windows platforms. Your candidacy is enhanced by knowledge of any of the following: older versions of Windows, Macintosh platform, experience with common hardware problems and software testing experience.
You must be able to reliably work at our Elmsford location in Westchester County. Candidates who are flexible and can work additional hours when needed will be given preference. Please note that you will be required to participate in various screening exams as part of the interviewing process. We will administer both hands-on and written tests to gauge your ability and demeanor.
