Convoluted Construct is a company that dares to combines fine arts with high fashion, by building cut&sew couture around oil,pastels and sculptures.
With the use of innovative prints, luxury materials and unique cut and sew aspects, Convoluted Construct apparel aims to fill the void between between high-end street boutique and designer fashion.
Currently we are looking to develop an Intern to take on a full time role in June 2010.
The position, requires the intern to be highly motivated and is aspiring to break into the fashion Industry. Intern must be able to present new and original idea, improve existing ideas.
Intern must also have the technical & creative background needed for this role.
Ideal Candidates
Graduates or seniors from Fashion Institute Technology,Parson, SVA or other fashion focused programs
Must be able to commit to 15 hrs a week including one weekend day.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sewing New patterns
• Working with Designer on developing Ideas
•Pattern Drafting
• Help the design team with samples and trims
• Maintain and organize fabric and trim library
•Work on projects as assigned
Compensation: Travel and Meals will be provided.
Telecommuting is ok.
