Communication equipment rentals & sales company (walkie- talkies, Nextels, BlackBerry etc.) seeking a steady F/T office worker and customer service person. Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills. Basic knowledge of 2-way radio and communication equipment necessary. Sales experience a plus. Hours are 10am-6pm M-F. Some Saturdays from 10am-4pm may be necessary. More hours possible depending on our busy seasons and weekly work load. Clean and modern A/C office, located on busy street in Forest Hills. Just a 2-3 minute walk from E/F train and LIRR station. Laid back atmosphere, neat but casual dress. Duties will include:
1) Equipment inventory check-in and check out.
2) Daily order fulfillment duties.
3) Trouble shooting problems over the phones with customers.
4) Light lifting of small and medium boxes and bins up to 45 lbs.
5) Packaging equipment and printing shipping labels from windows based UPS shipping software program.
6) Windows XP & Vista, Microsoft Office a must and QuickBooks Pro software a plus.
7) Experience answering phones, taking messages and explaining services to customers.
8) Weekly testing and cleaning of rental equipment.
9) Light office cleaning responsibilities.
10) Clean driver license not required but a plus (periodic NYC area deliveries using company vehicle)
