Mark Wood, international recording artist, Juilliard trained electric violinist, Emmy-winning composer, and inventor of the cutting-edge Viper electric violin, seeks one or more employees for a once in a lifetime opportunity to build custom electric violins in his Long Island shop (located in Huntington).
Position may be either part-time or full time; hours are flexible Monday - Friday. Three month paid training/trial period.
STUDENTS WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO APPLY! May be eligible for school credit.
Wood shop experience mandatory.
Must be able to operate a drill press, band saw, sander, and various other devices.
Detail oriented – these are expensive high-end custom instruments.
The job requires more finesse than muscle.
If you have a knowledge of string instruments and love of music, that`s a plus.
